2nd ANNUAL
THE KENTUCKY CUP
THE KENTUCKY STATE YOUTH CHAMPIONSHIP
RULES AND REGULATIONS
8 & UNDER

1. Players must be 8 years old & under by the date of Aug. 1st of this 2009. No player can turn 9 before Aug. 1st of 2009 for the 8U State Tournament.
2. Birth Certificate is required before any player can participate and all Birth Certificates must have a notary seal and signature if Certificate is a copy not an original. All Birth Certificates will be put in a team folder and turned in with roster before Official weigh in. Folder will be returned to team after their last game.
*All players will be Officially weighed before their first game and the following restrictions apply:
*no over-all weight limit.
*90 pounds and under may play any position.
*91 pounds and over offensive/defensive line tackle to tackle only.
*Player of any weight may kick on extra points but not advance ball if play gets muffed.
*Players may remove all equipment for weigh in.
*If player removes/loses orange stripe on helmet player will have to weigh in again etc.
3. Players of 91 pounds and over will have an orange sticker placed on their helmet. Any player with an orange sticker on helmet who receives possession of the football be it a fumble, interception etc. may not advance the ball. The ball will be whistled dead at the point of possession.
*Offensive linemen (tackle to tackle) must be in 2, 3 or 4 point stance and Defensive linemen (tackle to tackle) must be 3 or 4 point stance.
4. Continuous clock if lead is 25 or more points. Forfeit is a 7-0 score.
5. Playing rules: All games shall be played under National federation of State High School Athletic Association Rules with the following exceptions:
*Extra Points worth 1 point if ran from the 3 yard line. Worth 2 points if ran from the ten yard line. If kicking extra point worth 2 points.
*No special Teams. 30 yards given for punt. 10 Second run off time.
*Game consist of four seven minute quarters and a ten minute half-time.
*Ball furnished will be a K2 Ball. Team may use own ball of any size if they choose and ball passes referee inspection.
*one coach can be on field be it offense or defense but may not interfere with the play. If coach interferes with play team may lose the right for team to have coach on the field.
6. Trophies: Team/Individual trophy for top 2 finishers in each Division. Big Hit award and game MVP given for each game.
7. Certified High School/College Referees will be used at all games.
8. $5.00 all day ticket Admission. Children under 12 free. teams/cheerleaders free.
*Players may only participate in one age division in State Tournament.

*121 pounds and over may only play offensive/defensive line end to end only. Tight end if orange striped is there for blocking purpose only and may not go down field for pass. tight end must be non-orange stripe to be eligiable for a pass.
*Player of any weight may kick on extra points, field goals but not advance ball if play gets muffed (if player is orange stickered).
*Players may remove all equipment for weigh in.
*If player removes/loses orange stripe on helmet player will have to weigh in again etc.
3. Players of 121 pounds and over will have an orange sticker placed on their helmet. Any player with an orange sticker on helmet who receives possession of the football be it a fumble, interception etc. may not advance the ball. The ball will be whistled dead at the point of possession.
