Hello 2009 King of the Hill Classic/KY Cup Participants
As time grows near toward the showdown of the King of the Hill Classic/KY Cup, it is important that we adhere to the deadlines indicated in your registration packet. We are very excited that each of you has shown interest in the tournament and we anticipate that each of you will thoroughly enjoy the city of Owensboro, Ky.
ODC Youth Football League has worked very hard to minimize the number of mailings needed and the number of mandatory requirements to participate in this tournament. Below is a summary of the items required in the near future. To assist you in the planning for participation in the tournament here is some important information:
$150 team registration fee and registration (ONLINE) are do as soon as possible do to the limited number of slots available for each tournament. These slots will be filled on first come basis. This will assure you a spot so please act accordingly.
A team roster with players’ names, numbers and coaches’ names. This must be due by November 8th , 2009 & November 15th for the KY Cup.

This is a help sheet to help you know more about the tournament, more about the park and the city.

All teams must have Birth Certificates of each player in a folder, If certificate isn’t an original than it must be notarized. You must also have a picture of each player or a team picture with name of each player under team picture. This will be turned in on arrival and given back on departure. Each team roster in numerical order with name and numbers along with coaches names must in folder and one copy emailed to cas8332@hotmail.com or mailed to chris stallings 608 Stockton Dr. Owensboro, Ky 42303 a week before the tournament. Remember it is fraud to doctor any birth certificate or to get any birth certificate notarize illegal. This tournament is for the players and fans and any birth certificate found to be not legal will be turned in to authorities to be prosecuted. ODC has the right to turn down any players birth certificate that looks to be not authentic etc.

The home and visitor side for each game is determined by which side home/visitor is on the scoreboard. Only coaches 6 max will be allowed on field.

The team opposite of the press box will furnish 3 adults for the chain crew for their game.

Coach is to check in at tournament HQ that is above the concession stand once they arrive and call chris stallings cell no. 270-485-9554.

Park layout: the park has four (4) fields. Each field will be marked 1 thru 4 All fields are lighted.

If at anytime no one is in HQ room please go to Press box one (1) for your answers.

No coolers or Alcohol allowed in park. Team cooler is allowed

If your team is coming in on a school or coach bus let chris stallings know by calling 270-485-9554 for parking instructions before arrival.

We do have Owensboro City Police Officers at the park for the complete tournament if needed along with Undercover Officers. An ambulance will be on site.

We do sell Tournament T-Shirts at the concession stand. A photographer will be at the field for action shots etc.

Warm-up areas are to the right and left of the parking lot, both Sides of the lake, and when you walk in the main entrance go to the backside of the complex and go thru the double gates and on either side is a warm-up area.

We do have a lake that is stocked if in your free time you wish to fish.

No profanity, bad behavior, back talking to the referees, intimidating tactics of any kind, fighting on or off the playing field will be accepted in this tournament. This is for all players, coaches and fans and chain crews.

All weigh-ins will be held under Press Box one (1) an hour and 30 minutes before your first game of the day. Unless you weigh-in Friday night. Any team wishing to weigh in Friday nite may do so by contacting chris stallings for a time. One coach from another team will be present for all weigh- ins. A visual check of all players will be done before each game at field entrance to ensure of stickers on helmets/ankle bracelet worn on outside of sock and number and name check.
Waymond Morris park is located at 5200 Todd bridge road which is off of southtown blvd. Its down the street from Apollo High School and Town Square Mall. With this many teams at one complex parking is limited so try as much as possible to car pool to help out. If needed a 5th field will be used at Apollo High School. If your team plays at Apollo Field you will be given information sheet on what not to bring on field.

some last minute questions some of the coaches have been asking.
1. defensive ends can stand up. they must be on outside shoulder of tight end or the tackle in an unbalance. in 11u and 12u only offensive ends/defensive ends can be an orange sticker. if tight end has orange sticker the tight end is not eligibile for a pass so the tight end is for blocking purpose only (if orange stickered).
offensive linemen must be in a 2,3 or 4 point stance (tackle to tackle) and defensive linemen (tackle to tackle) must be in a 3 or 4 point stance.
2. can use your own ball if you wish.
3. please do not run up the score on any team. the max points you can get in tie breakers is 25 pts (IF IN POOL PLAY FORMAT).
4. The center can not be hit when snapping on punts and extra points. High school rule also.
5. all players must have helmet with them for wiegh in for placement of orange stickers. players may remove any equipment or go down to shorts if needed for wiegh in. a coach from another team will be present for any teams weigh ins. we like for as many teams to wiegh in friday nite as possible. give me a call if your gonna wiegh in friday nite to recieve a time.
6. make sure you have a team picture or individual picture with your team folder with the players names at the bottom.
7. make sure birth certificates are in folder for each player. if bc not original the copy must be notarized with signature,dated and stamped. any notary will need to see orignal and parent id before they will notarize the copy in most places. remember you will get this folder back when your last game is played.
8. the park will be crowded so the more people that will car pool the better. If your team is coming by bus please let me know before you come by calling chris stallings 270-485-9554.
9. no filming in the press box but if coaches want to go upstairs and watch games they can (coaches only please).
10. please read over the rules that have been sent and remember that outside the rules sent we go by kentucky high school rules. high school and college ref's will be used from all over the tri-state not just local ref's.
11. please be ready to take the field when the game before you is over. we're on a tight schedule and we want to stay on time, so please after the game clean up your sideline and talk to your player outside the fenced in area.
12. please understand that i know there will be mistakes made in some form with any tournament of this size and we'll try are very best to correct whatever problem that arises.
